Overview
Replicant provides AI-driven call center automation that integrates with CRMs to recognize customers, capture and transcribe conversations, and engage via voice, SMS and web. The product offers a visual editor and prebuilt components for conversation flows, call summaries, and analytics on satisfaction, handle time and upsell opportunities. Recent feature work added new languages and conversational “powers” (e.g., hold, conversational repeats, database matching) and the company says its models deliver an 85% call success rate by expected business outcome. Replicant allows enterprise customers to set data retention windows (commonly six months to two years) and offers a “highly confidential turn” service to redact payment or ePHI from logs; it also runs sentiment analysis and reports efforts to mitigate bias. The company reports about 100 employees, “dozens” of enterprise customers, has serviced over 8 million customers, and sees customer deal sizes from the hundreds of thousands to millions in ARR. Management plans to ramp customer success, double R&D, launch new automated channels, increase sales and marketing, and expand headcount to ~200 by end of 2022. To date Replicant has raised $110 million in venture capital and faces competition from incumbents and startups in the call-center AI market. Replicant builds an autonomous contact-center platform powered by a neural engine for intent detection and entity recognition to conduct human-like phone conversations. Its platform integrates with CRM and contact-center software to authenticate callers, resolve the majority of Tier-1 calls, escalate with context, capture call notes, transcribe conversations in real time, and auto-tag dispositions. Replicant says it resolves customer service calls in half the time and delivers 50–75% in cost savings while improving customer satisfaction. The company reports 15X revenue growth over the past five months and currently handles over two million customer support calls a month. Replicant is HIPAA, SOC II, and PCI compliant and claims its AI understands slang, accents, and technical terms. It will use the new funding to triple R&D and scale its go-to-market teams to expand deployments. Replicant provides a conversational AI platform that enables full phone conversations between its 'Thinking Machine' virtual agent and customers to handle routine contact-center calls. The platform understands full sentences in real time, makes rapid decisions, responds in under a second, and can take actions like updating shipping addresses or issuing refunds. When it cannot handle an issue, the Thinking Machine escalates complex or emotional calls to live agents and passes a bullet-point summary to enable a smooth transition. Replicant says the technology improves agent and customer satisfaction while reducing wait times and costs. The company spent two years developing proprietary AI voice technology. Replicant was co-founded in 2017 and is headquartered in San Francisco. The launch accompanies $7 million in seed funding to commercialize the product.
