Reportwell offers an online platform that centralizes and simplifies required regulatory compliance reporting for K-12 schools. The company launched in 2023 after being founded by former educators who were overwhelmed by regulatory filings. Reportwell built a basic version about 14 months ago and tested it with schools, school districts and state education departments. The startup participated in the Techstars Detroit accelerator and launched a commercial version last month. Early customers include New Orleans Public Schools, the state of Missouri and various U.S. school districts. The founding team includes CEO Jacob Allen and four co-founders; the company has six employees with two more expected to join, and it is exploring applicability in other regulated industries such as higher education, utilities and health care.
