Republic Business Credit provides working capital through factoring and receivables finance to companies with annual sales up to $60 million and facility needs of $50,000 to $5 million. The firm targets a range of industries including energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, staffing, distribution, transportation, high-tech, government contracting, marine, printing and janitorial services. Headquartered in New Orleans, Republic has placed regional sales managers in Chicago and Houston and says it is positioned to serve clients nationwide. The company has closed several transactions, employs 12 staff today and expects to grow to about 40 employees by year end. Republic plans to buy participations from other factors and may pursue acquisitions of companies or portfolios where strategically compelling. Earlier this year it closed on $30 million of equity financing from two large institutional investors and expects to close the first tranche of a senior debt facility starting at $30 million in mid-February to expand liquidity and outreach.
