Repute is a Bengaluru-based blockchain data and identity management startup developing an app for employers to verify employee identities digitally. The yet-to-be-launched application is intended to verify identity inside the app without involving offline methods. The company is led by co-founders Deepak Dhar (former NestAway CXO) and Sandesh Chidanand (former Chai Point COO) and has a 15-person team. The founders left their prior roles in June 2019 and launched Repute four months later in October 2019. Regulatory filings show the company allotted 1,840 seed CCPS to raise capital. Fintrackr estimates Repute's post-money valuation at around Rs 101 crore; after the seed round the co-founders control 45.33% and 22.66% respectively while the ESOP committee holds 17.43%.
