Overview
Reset Company develops solar-panel cleaning robots and a circular recycling solution for end-of-life solar panels. The company employs non-crushing processes, a high-purity tempered-glass separation method, and a non-thermal laser-based technique to extract valuable metals, avoiding air-polluting heating methods. Reset has built and received permits for its first recycling center in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, with an annual processing capacity of 3,000 tonnes. The firm positions its technology to address growing solar-waste volumes—roughly 20,000 tonnes by 2025 and 50,000 tonnes by 2030—and follows a three-stage recycling flow of panel separation, component recovery, and material recovery. Reset received additional investment from Bluecorner, the corporate venture arm of ST International, bringing its cumulative Series A funding to ₩4 billion (40억원). The company says it will cooperate with Bluecorner on recycling-technology development and building a value chain for resource-circulation energy businesses and aims to apply its approach beyond Korea, per the CEO's statement.
