Resilience

6 rue d'Armaillé, Paris, Ile-de-France, 75017, France

Overview

Resilience offers a comprehensive remote patient care solution dedicated to cancer patients and healthcare professionals, combining a mobile application with a remote patient monitoring platform. The mobile app helps individuals affected by cancer manage treatment-related side effects and foster self-care. The monitoring platform enables healthcare professionals to better understand and improve patient care and the overall care pathway. The company raised $25M to accelerate deployment of its solution in France and abroad. Resilience plans to leverage the rapid adoption of medical remote monitoring in France and the regulatory agency’s validation of its clinical value to scale internationally. Founded in February 2021 by Céline Lazorthes, Jonathan Benhamou, and Gustave Roussy and based in Paris, the company partners with more than 90 centers and supports over 10,000 patients. Resilience provides a patient app for tracking symptoms, side effects and other data points and a software-as-a-service platform that lets hospitals use that data to personalize cancer treatments. The company was founded in partnership with Gustave Roussy and aims to better support both patients and caregivers throughout lengthy cancer care journeys. Resilience emphasizes helping practitioners overcome blindspots and adapt care more quickly rather than replacing doctors. The startup acquired Betterise to accelerate its data-driven cancer care capabilities. Its long-term vision is to improve outcomes and quality of life for people diagnosed with cancer by combining patient-reported data, clinical workflows and content. Financially, Resilience recently closed a $45 million Series A to scale its product and partnerships. Resilience is building a full-stack software solution for cancer care that serves both medical teams and patients. For practitioners the company offers a SaaS product to augment therapeutic decisions by categorizing scientific literature, using machine learning to find similarities with past cases, and surfacing relevant clinical trials. For patients it provides a web and mobile app that explains treatments, helps manage side effects, collects patient-reported data, and aims to improve quality of life. The company is assembling a data science team to use natural language processing on scientific literature and is partnering with hospitals to access past-case data; a medical team will double-check outputs. Resilience positions itself as mission-driven with a scientific board, a patient board, and Gustave Roussy acting as a co-founder. The startup has raised $6 million (€5 million) in a funding round led by Singular.
