RESPONSIBLE has developed a "Buy Back" technology that integrates at point of purchase to inform shoppers of an item’s residual value and allow future returns in exchange for store credit. The Buy Back plugin is available within the Shopify ecosystem and will soon support other eCommerce platforms; it also integrates into physical stores. RESPONSIBLE provides both the software and the operational infrastructure to help brands keep products in circulation with a low-touch customer experience. The company has launched with brand partners including RÆBURN, côte&ciel, Kuyichi and Kings Of Indigo, and some partner products are available on its resale platform, responsible.us. Founded in 2021, the company operates from Belfast and London and plans to establish an EU presence early in 2022. The recent seed financing will be used to expand RESPONSIBLE’s reach across Europe and grow its network of brand partnerships.
