Revalesio

1202 East D St, Tacoma, WA, 98421, United States

Overview

Revalesio develops a charge-stabilized nanostructure (CSN) technology and its lead product RNS60, an oxygen-rich saline designed to reduce inflammation and cell damage. RNS60 is reported to modulate the PI3K-Akt pathway at the cell membrane rather than targeting a single protein, with the goal of providing a novel approach to treating inflammatory diseases such as asthma, multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer’s. The CSN technology was invented by Tony Wood, who sold his company to Revalesio in 2004. The company is a 14-year-old firm based in Tacoma, Wash., led by CEO Eric Russell and employs about 30 people. Revalesio partners with other companies, universities and research institutions to advance its programs and faces competition from others developing similar therapeutics. The company is currently raising a $40 million round to further develop its pipeline and has disclosed $13.5 million raised to date.
