REVER
Carrer Industria 58, Barcelona, Catalonia, 08025, Spain
Overview
Rever provides a returns platform that processes e-commerce returns quickly—99% of returns on its platform are handled in under six hours—allowing shoppers to return items in two clicks and get near-instant refunds. The startup counts over 120 clients and is operational in some 40 countries across Europe, the United States, and Latin America. Rever was founded by Oriol Hernández i Fajula and Màrius Montmany after spotting a surge in e-commerce and consequent returns during the pandemic. The company says its service sharply contrasts with the European average refund time of around 10 days. Rever plans to roll out AI-powered features later this year that will suggest alternative products based on customers' past purchases and preferences. The capital from the recent raise will be used to fund growth and global expansion. Rever offers shoppers the ability to return any e-commerce purchase in two clicks and receive a refund in seconds, aiming to remove friction from post-sale returns. The idea was born during the pandemic and is led by co-founders Oriol Hernandez and Màrius Montmany. The four-month-old startup joined Y Combinator’s S22 accelerator after beating 40,000+ applicants and was the only Spanish company accepted. Rever is operational in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany. The company has raised $1 million in a pre-seed round. Rever’s stated ambition is to dominate e-commerce post-sale services by creating a global platform for online returns, addressing a market where average refund waits in Europe exceed 14 days.
