Revolution Prep is an education software and services provider that helps students improve basic academic skills and score higher on the SAT, ACT and other exams. Founded in 2002 and led by CEO Ramit Varma, the company delivers instruction via real classroom courses, live online classrooms, private in-person and online tutoring, self-guided online courses, and hybrid courses. Its latest product, Revolution Math, incorporates learning research such as storytelling, games, small class sizes and social interaction to engage students in grades 2–5. Revolution Prep completed a $4m growth funding round led by existing investor Kennet Partners, with participation from several industry veterans. Jeffrey Cohen and Scott Kirkpatrick will join the company's board of directors. The company plans to use the funds to drive growth of Revolution Math and to advance additional learning tools and innovative programs. Revolution Prep, founded in 2002 by Ramit Varma and Jake Neuberg, operates two primary divisions: Test Prep and K12 Software. Test Prep focuses on SAT and ACT courses and private tutoring, while K12 Software provides Algebra Support, English Language Arts, and state-adopted web-based programs to prepare students for high school exit exams. In June 2010 Revolution Prep completed its first acquisition, Ivy Insiders. The company completed a $15M first financing in September 2010.
