Revue provides a simple, content-focused email newsletter tool that emphasizes content creation and curation over marketing features. Its product lets users pull in RSS feeds and import content from Medium, Twitter, Tumblr and Pocket, drag-and-drop links and images into a compose window, and use a browser extension to add links on the fly. Compose tools include headings, images, free-form text and links, and users can manage subscriber lists, schedule or send immediately, auto-share to social channels and view open rates. The company was founded in January 2015 by Martijn de Kuijper and operates as a five-person startup based in the Netherlands. Revue has grown to 20,000 registered users who collectively send about 2 million emails per month. It recently raised €300,000 from a group of angel backers and funds and says it is aiming to grow into a network of curated content across platforms beyond email.
