Rewatch

548 Market St, San Francisco, California, 94104, United States

Overview

Rewatch provides a platform that imports, indexes, transcribes and stores internal video meetings so teams can browse, search and watch meetings on demand. The product plugs into Zoom and Google Meet to automatically import office or team video chats, and supports manual imports for other platforms. It generates transcripts and search tools and lets organizations customize or disable automatic imports and meeting filing. Rewatch says it will add features over time to automatically turn meeting items into follow-up work tickets. The company moved from invite-only to general availability as it announced new funding. Rewatch was founded in early 2020 by GitHub alumni Connor Sears and Scott Goldman and already counts customers including GitHub, Brex, Envoy and The Athletic. Rewatch builds private, searchable video channels that archive company meetings recorded from Zoom and Google Hangouts. The product stores meetings in a database with tags, notes and full transcriptions to make video content easier to search and reference. Libraries are presented as “mini-YouTube channels” that turn synchronous meetings into asynchronous bulletins and documents. Founders Connor Sears and Scott Goldman aim to reduce Zoom fatigue by giving employees more ways to watch and interact with meetings across time zones. The company has landed a number of customers including GitHub, though it declined to disclose total customer numbers. Rewatch plans to charge a subscription fee at launch but has not disclosed pricing. Financially, the startup has raised a $2 million pre-seed round led by Semil Shah at Haystack.
