Rhenovia Pharma
Technopole - Mer Rouge Plaza 20C rue de Chemnitz, Mulhouse, Alsace, 68200, France
Overview
Rhenovia Pharma, founded in 2007 and based in Mulhouse, France and Cambridge, Massachusetts, develops computer simulators that predict the effects of molecules on healthy individuals and patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, epilepsy and depression. Its biosimulation technology reduces the need for animal testing and can measure effects of neurotoxic agents including pesticides, nanoparticles, industrial emissions and chemical weapons. The platform can also aid development of antidotes to poison gas, making it relevant to civil and military protection stakeholders. Rhenovia serves three key markets—pharmaceutical, agrifood and neurotoxicity—and plans to step up development across these areas. The company has around twenty staff across France, Switzerland, Germany and the US. It recently raised €540k and intends to use additional funds to expand staff, particularly in marketing and therapeutic applications. Rhenovia plans to raise a further €2m in 2014 and is opening the new round to new investors, particularly family offices.
