Overview

Rhonexum is a Swiss startup spun out of EPFL’s AQUA Lab that develops electronics capable of operating at cryogenic temperatures required by quantum processors. The company combines proprietary models and software tools to design components using standard semiconductor processes that function near absolute zero. Rhonexum aims to bring control electronics closer to quantum processors to reduce system complexity and enable more compact architectures. The founders are Vicente Carbon and Dr Hung-Chi Han, who bring expertise in cryogenic semiconductor physics and systems engineering. The company has secured $1 million in pre-seed equity funding led by QDNL Participations, plus participation from Venture Kick and grant support from several Swiss innovation programs. Rhonexum plans to deliver its first industrial-grade cryogenic electronics product to early customers later this year.
