Ridge AI combines a browser-native visualization stack built on the Mosaic framework with in-browser data processing (DuckDB via WebAssembly) and AI data agents that let end users ask natural-language questions. The architecture processes data natively in the browser to deliver sub-second interactivity on datasets with millions of rows without per-query cloud compute. The company was founded by CEO Ellie Fields and Chief Scientist Jeff Heer, the latter known for D3.js, Vega, Mosaic, and co-founding Trifacta. Ridge positions its product to be deployable in hours rather than months and is currently accepting limited beta customers. Ridge announced a $2.6 million pre-seed raise led by Madrona with participation from TheFounderVC and angels from Tableau, Trifacta, and Streamlit.
