Paris-based Rift is developing an aerial intelligence infrastructure that links long-endurance VTOL drones, autonomous deployment stations, and its proprietary RiftOS software to deliver real-time surveillance from a single remote command center. Sold as “Surveillance-as-a-Service,” the platform allows ministries, infrastructure operators, and industrial firms to access persistent aerial monitoring without upfront CAPEX and at up to one-tenth the cost of traditional helicopter solutions that can exceed €3,000 per flight hour. Current use cases include early wildfire detection, highway incident monitoring, border infringement tracking, and inspection of pipelines, power lines, and railways. The company is collaborating with the DGAC and other European regulators to enable long-range operations and continent-wide deployment. Fresh capital will fund large-volume manufacturing of drone stations, the advancement of AI to fully automate missions by 2027, and expansion of the network across Europe. Rift also plans to double its workforce by 2026 while continuing pilot projects with government and industrial customers.
