Rightbot
North Bergen, New Jersey, United States
Overview
Rightbot builds suction-based robotic systems that unload truck, trailer and container freight using a conveyor, a robotic arm with a suction end effector, and computer vision. Its vision algorithms are trained on thousands of hours of warehouse footage to identify and pick packages of varying sizes and place them within reach of the arm. The company says the solution enhances productivity and throughput, improving return on investment for customers. Rightbot acknowledges competition from firms such as Boston Dynamics, Pickle and Mujin but believes the nascent freight-unloading robotics market offers room to carve out a niche. Co-founders Anurag Dutta and Abhinav Warrier met in Entrepreneur First; Dutta is a former Kearney consultant and Warrier previously worked at GreyOrange. The startup has multiple pilots lined up for 2024 with e-commerce and retail customers and recently raised $6.25 million in funding.
