Ripe Technology is a food supply chain digitization platform that uses enterprise blockchain to improve transparency around origin, quality, traceability, flavor, sustainability and safety. Its core product is the “Blockchain of Food,” a food quality network enabled by “Food Bundles” that capture and share the full lifecycle of a product from seed to consumer. The platform allows actors across the food value chain — growers, labs, distributors and retailers — to contribute data and map the journey of food. Founded in 2017 by CEO Raja Ramachandran and based in San Francisco, the company completed a $2.4m seed financing. Ripe will use the funds to expand operations and continue product development.
