Rise is a technology-enabled micro-investing service that connects Nigerian consumers to verified pools of dollar-denominated investments, including U.S. equities, real estate, and Eurobonds. The mobile app, released publicly in late January after months of beta testing, onboards users with a BVN and valid ID in minutes and lowers the entry barrier to just $10. By combining in-house research, portfolio management, and periodic investor education, the platform assumes the heavy analytical work for its customers while only guaranteeing returns on its Eurobond product. Early momentum stems from founder Eleanya Eke’s community: more than 100 spreadsheet-based early investors, Zoom calls of 40+ participants, and a Telegram group exceeding 800 members. Rise employs a nine-person team operating out of Surulere, Lagos, with co-founders Bosun Olanrewaju and Tony Odiba supporting Eke. To date, the company has raised $62,000 in pre-seed funding, giving it initial resources to scale while it continues to engage regulators under a cooperative license.
