Overview
RiskSense offers a SaaS threat and vulnerability prioritization platform that unifies internal security intelligence, external threat data and business criticality to quantify and reduce cyber risk. Its platform produces a RiskSense Security Score (RS3) to give CISOs and boards temporal, credit-like visibility into organizational risk and to drive remediation prioritization. The company has collaborated with the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community on the CACTUS project and serves Global Fortune 500 customers, government agencies and a major telecommunications provider. RiskSense says its solution shortens time-to-remediation, increases operational efficiency and makes existing security tools more effective. The company recently raised capital to accelerate growth through sales, marketing and research & development and will demonstrate its platform at Black Hat 2018. RiskSense has received multiple industry recognitions, including SC Awards finalist placements, OSPAs Top Security Manufacturer, a GSN Homeland Security Award and a Cybersecurity Excellence Award. RiskSense provides a SaaS pro-active cyber risk management solution that enables enterprises and governments to reveal cyber risk, orchestrate remediation, and monitor results. Led by co-founder and CEO Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala, the platform unifies and contextualizes internal security intelligence, external threat data, and business criticality across a growing attack surface. The company raised an additional Series A extension that brought total funding in the round to $14M. Jump Capital joined existing investors Paladin Capital Group, Sun Mountain Capital, EPIC Ventures and CenturyLink in the extension. In addition, Silicon Valley Bank provided a debt facility. RiskSense intends to use the funds to expand sales and marketing, enter new markets such as cybersecurity insurance, and broaden and accelerate product development. RiskSense provides a SaaS pro-active cyber risk management platform that identifies, visualizes, prioritizes, and orchestrates remediation of cyber risks by unifying internal and external security intelligence and correlating findings with business criticality. The company plans to use new funding to expand sales and marketing and to broaden and accelerate product development.
