Riva Health builds a mobile cardiology application that measures and manages hypertension by capturing a high-resolution blood-pulse waveform (BPW) via fingertip photoplethysmography (PPG) using a phone camera. The company couples this novel measurement technology with interventions delivered by its licensed healthcare providers to enable higher-fidelity remote patient management and broader access to premium heart care. Led by CEO Dag Kittlaus and co-founder Tuhin Sinha, PhD, Riva is completing comprehensive validation of its measurement technology with world experts and is working with the FDA for marketing clearance. The company plans to launch the beta of its flagship app in summer 2021 and is hiring for its engineering team. Riva intends to use recently raised funds to expand operations.
