RiverRidge Recycling is a Northern Ireland–based independent waste management operator that treats over 400,000mt of waste each year for local authorities, commercial businesses and households. Led by Managing Director Brett Ross, the company employs over 200 people across sites in Belfast, Coleraine, Derry-Londonderry and Portadown. The owners acquired a small skip hire and landfill site in 2011 and have grown the business via organic growth and acquisitions into a fully integrated waste management business. RiverRidge was the primary developer of the Full Circle Generation Energy from Waste facility adjacent to Bombardier’s Wing Facility in Belfast, a £107m project nearing completion co-financed by Green Investment Bank, Equitix and P3P Partners. The company intends to use newly secured funds to further develop its existing treatment and operations infrastructure. Financially, it has secured external capital including recent equity and banking facilities to support expansion.
