Rizort is a luxury vacation marketplace focused on helping travelers plan entire vacations, with an initial emphasis on destinations in Southeast Asia such as Bali. The platform leverages virtual reality content for Oculus Rift and Oculus Go to showcase resorts, room types, spas and dining experiences. It layers artificial intelligence to generate personalized recommendations and to infer traveler preferences from VR interactions. The company launched in March and targets customers in the U.S., U.K. and Western Europe. Rizort has 20 full-time employees across the San Francisco Bay Area and Bangalore, India. Financially, Rizort recently closed a $2.9 million seed round from angel investors.
