Roadie offers a managed Spotify Backstage platform and has announced general availability of Tech Insights, a software-quality feature added to its core Backstage offering. Tech Insights lets engineering teams define engineering standards and automatically track and report software performance against those standards. The feature exposes Data Sources, Checks, and Scorecards that collect facts about services, run automated rules, and aggregate results into targeted scorecards in the Backstage catalog. Roadie says Tech Insights helps teams improve security, compliance, productivity, agility, and availability, and nudges teams toward improved software quality over time. Customers including SumUp and Baillie Gifford are using Tech Insights to promote and track adoption of security and code-analysis tools across their repositories and developer teams. Roadie launched in 2020 and previously closed an unannounced $3.7M seed round in late 2020 led by Boldstart Ventures with participation from Firstminute Capital.
