Roam
40 Monroe Place, Brooklyn, NY, 11201, United States
Overview
Roam bills itself as a "cloud HQ" for distributed, remote companies, offering cloud-based "flex spaces" that let workers see and move between meetings. Its Map View surfaces what meetings are occurring and provides "project presence," along with text and video chat capabilities. CEO Howard Lerman, who co-founded and led Yext, launched Roam after observing a loss of spontaneity and increased meeting load when teams shifted to remote work. The platform currently has around 40 corporate customers and 15 employees, and Roam plans to hire five more by the end of the year. Lerman said his own meeting time fell from 4.5 to 2.6 hours per day after switching to Roam, with an average meeting length of eight minutes. Roam intends to use funding to accelerate go-to-market efforts in the U.S. and abroad; Lerman declined to disclose revenue or other financials.
