Roam operates a distributed network of communal living spaces that allow travelers to sign a single weekly lease to live around the world. Founded by Bruno Haid in 2015 and based in New York, the company currently offers access to three locations — Ubud, Miami and Madrid — at $500 per week. Roam plans to expand with new locations in Buenos Aires and London in 2016 and aims for 8–10 locations by 2017. The company is developing an online platform to let members manage their leases and connect with the global community. Proceeds from the fundraise will be used to expand the team, open new locations and further develop that platform.
