Overview
Robocore Technology Limited is a Hong Kong Science Park–based open-platform service robotics company best known for its temi robot series. Its robots are installed at almost 20,000 locations worldwide, including over 5,000 locations in the US and more than 200 elderly homes in New York using temi for remote medical diagnoses. The company's products are applied in hospitals, nursing homes, retail stores and households, where they have been used to cut insurance expenditure and improve care quality. Robocore completed a strategic Series D investment led by Foxconn's subsidiary Q-Run and intends to use the proceeds to build out telemedicine services in the US, Europe and Japan. The company also plans to add new products to China's consumer market and expand global sales and marketing. Robocore says the funding will speed its global expansion and healthcare-robot innovation as it prepares for a possible IPO by 2030.
