Roboinvest is a New York City-based web and mobile social trading service. The platform lets top investors, called “leaders,” accept followers who pay to see what they are investing in. The company was founded by CEO Michael Giles and launched out of beta in January 2012. Roboinvest raised $125k in angel funding from Jim Nichols, Joe Saviano and ARC Angel Fund. It intends to use the capital to progress to the next stage. Previous seed investors include AMCreative and Melbourne-based entrepreneur and investor Domenic Carosa.
