Rocean is a New York City-based maker of the Rocean One, a personalizable, reusable water ecosystem designed for countertops. The device filters, carbonates, flavors and enhances tap water and uses multi-use pods to deliver natural fruit flavors, supplements, and enhancements at lower cost and total carbon footprint than pre-packaged beverages. Its patent-pending micro-dosing system supports two pods at once, allowing users to mix flavors and enhancements to personal preference. The company was founded by Sunjay Guleria, Mohini Boparai Guleria, and Dr. Lee von Kraus. Rocean raised over $6m in financing to continue development of its first product. The first units were scheduled to ship in late summer 2019.
