RockGarden is a medical-grade marijuana producer that passed Health Canada's Review stage and is constructing a three-phase cultivation facility in Carleton Place, Ontario. The company is completing phase one to begin production and expand to a 20,000 square-foot footprint across nine flower rooms with capacity to produce 1,300 kg of medical-grade cannabis annually. It anticipated submitting a Confirmation of Readiness to Health Canada in July 2017 and expected to receive a cultivation license by August 2017. Construction phases two and three were planned for February and May 2018, respectively. Financially, RockGarden closed a $1.5 million financing in May 2017 to complete the first construction phase; the round was oversubscribed. The financing brought industry expert Paul Rosen, former CEO of Cronos Group Inc., in as lead investor and advisor.
