Rockar has developed an online "Buy Button" solution that allows car manufacturers and consumers to complete the entire purchase process online, including part-exchange and finance. The company operates two digital stores in Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent, and Westfield Shopping Centre, East London. Rockar plans to use new funding to augment partnerships with major automotive manufacturers following Hyundai, launch additional digital stores in shopping centres, and continue developing its technology platform. The business was established in 2012 and is led by Simon Dixon. Financially, it has an existing history of external investment, including a prior £1m from Seneca Partners EIS funds in November 2014. The recent equity raise strengthens its ability to scale retail locations and platform development.
