RocketStar develops rocket propulsion technologies and provides satellite and space exploration services, and is led by CEO Chris Craddock. The company is noted for a patent-pending Aerospike Engine described as reusable, reliable, and affordable. RocketStar raised $2M in seed funding and says it will use the proceeds to solidify a merger and support operations. It acquired Miles Space, an electric-propulsion and spacecraft manufacturer, to extend its in-space propulsion capabilities. Miles Space brings an electric thruster program and is working with RocketStar on a nuclear-fusion enhanced version of that thruster. Miles also contributes digital signal processing software for deep-space communications, low-probability-of-intercept communications, and passive radar.
