Rodinia Generation

Dortheavej 65, Copenhagen NV, 2400, Denmark

Overview

Rodinia Generation develops in-house hardware and software to run a network of automated microfactories that print, cure, cut and enable local sewing to make garments exactly when they are needed. Its manufacturing method targets the most polluting parts of the fashion supply chain—dyeing, finishing and manufacturing—eliminating water and toxic chemicals and reducing carbon emissions and long‑distance transport. One microfactory can match the output of a traditional 2,000 sqm factory that produces 700,000 garments while taking up 200 sqm and using zero litres of water. Rodinia’s first microfactory has been running in Copenhagen since 2021 and can produce designs in under two weeks, sometimes in as little as 48 hours, helping to eliminate overproduction. The company has attracted customers including Hummel, Mads Nørgaard Copenhagen and Wheat. Founded in 2017, Rodinia plans to expand European production and then enter global markets, aiming to build a worldwide network of microfactories for high‑street and luxury brands. It raised €3 million to fund its European expansion.
