ROOM positions its product as a lower‑cost alternative to traditional office phone booths (competitors typically range $4,500–$12,000 with added shipping), and deliberately designs the booth to discourage extended camping. Less than a year after launch the company reached a $10 million revenue run rate with about 200 customers, including Salesforce, Nike, NASA and JPMorgan. Founders Morten Meisner‑Jensen and Brian Chen built on prior design and hardware experience and say they are receiving demand for larger multi‑person prefab conference rooms and room divider solutions. The team cites copycats as the largest near‑term risk while exploring a broader office furniture roadmap to lock in customers.
