Rooser operates a marketplace (Sea.Store) for sourcing seafood for wholesale, trade and retail, offering stock management, sales tracking and marketplace assessment tools. It currently lists some 45 species totaling more than 71,000 kilograms, has over 300 active users, and has enabled about 50,000 transactions to date; the company takes a commission on each transaction. Planned product additions include quality control tools, supply chain finance, personalization to match buyers and sellers, and business intelligence/analytics. The platform sources from 13 countries, with Iceland the largest sourcing country and France accounting for 95% of sales. Rooser was founded and is led by CEO Joel Watt, who co-founded the company with CCO Nicolas Desormeaux, COO Erez Mathan and CTO Thomas Quiroga.
