ROSLINCT is a contract manufacturing organisation serving the cell and gene therapy sector, combining automation and manufacturing capabilities for clinical-stage products. The company is partnering with REPROCELL to develop a faster, more cost-effective method to produce clinical-grade induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) using a novel, safe RNA-based reprogramming method. The project aims to enable quicker and safer generation of cells for both allogeneic and autologous therapies and to create commercialisation and licensing opportunities for generated cell lines. The collaboration is intended to accelerate entry into clinical trials and scale-up for commercial manufacturing. Financially, ROSLINCT was awarded a £1.2 million investment from Innovate UK’s Medicines Manufacturing Round 2 competition to fund the work. The effort is positioned to centre know-how and manufacturing within the UK and involves two Scottish SMEs.
