ROSS Intelligence uses a combination of proprietary deep learning and off-the-shelf tools (including IBM Watson for some NLP) to augment keyword search and surface more relevant case-law results. Its core product helps legal teams and firms sort through case law faster and with higher relevancy; Bluehill benchmarking cited in the article indicates ROSS finds about 30% more relevant information in less time. The company says workflows that previously took a week can now take two to four hours, and it trains models using a corpus developed with roughly 20 law firms.
