Overview

RoundlyX operates a mobile platform that lets users round up daily purchases and invest the spare change in Bitcoin and other digital currencies. Founded as Coin Savage in 2017 by Andrew Elliott and Will Trible, the company positions itself as the "Mint.com of digital assets." It closed a $2 million seed round in January and has now raised $3 million in total, following an $800,000 pre-seed in 2021. The upcoming mobile app rollout—which Elliott said factored into the company's valuation—is expected in about a month. Investors include return participants Virginia Innovation Partnership Corp. and Allied Venture Partners alongside new backers such as Frontier Venture Capital, Riverbend Capital, the Blockchain Founders Fund, Orange DAO, MCMA Ventures and Gaingels. Management plans to pursue integrations into sports betting and gaming to broaden acquisition channels. RoundlyX offers a universal SaaS toolset that connects to existing digital-asset exchange infrastructure, letting users manage scattered exchange accounts from one dashboard. Core features include Roundup Investing, curated content, and aggregated services to help users invest responsibly in Bitcoin and other digital assets. The company has expanded beyond the U.S., enabling users to connect to European and UK banks to round up spare change into digital assets. RoundlyX says user growth has accelerated alongside rising interest in cryptocurrencies: it handled several thousand dollars in orders per day in mid-2020 and about ten times that by the end of the year. The startup plans to use the latest investment to support continued user growth and further product adoption as digital assets become more mainstream. The platform is headquartered in Richmond, Va. RoundlyX is a SaaS digital asset wealth management platform that automates spare-change roundups to purchase and hold cryptocurrencies on users' chosen exchanges. Users link debit or credit cards and RoundlyX rounds purchases to the nearest dollar, accumulates roundups, executes buys on integrated exchanges (Voyager, Coinbase), and holds assets in the user's exchange account. The platform uses end-to-end encryption and read-only access to bank accounts or cards for roundup calculations, and supports single-asset or diversified portfolios with optional roundup multipliers. RoundlyX offers curated analyst portfolios ranked by returns, plus subscription access to analyst content and trade alerts for users to mirror or follow. Capital from the CIT GAP Funds investment will be used to scale the application, integrate curated news and analysis feeds into the dashboard, and expand internationally. The company positions itself to help new investors adopt dollar-cost-averaging strategies for building digital asset exposure.
