Routine is a productivity app that combines tasks, non-actionable notes and a daily planner, available on macOS and iOS and integrating with Google accounts. The app surfaces a dashboard overlay (default shortcut Ctrl-Space) showing today’s tasks, time until the next meeting, and a central Console for quick task entry. The Console supports natural-language scheduling and quick creation of recurring items; tasks act as pages with a Notion-like editor for rich notes, attachments, and nested tasks that convert into full Routine tasks. Routine also lets users allocate time for tasks by creating calendar events directly from the app and treat calendar events as note pages. The startup is currently in closed beta and participated in Y Combinator’s W21 batch. Financially, Routine has raised a $2.7 million pre-seed round from BoxGroup, Target Global and several angel investors.
