rqmicro develops the rqmicro.COUNT rapid detection platform that performs single-cell counts of viable bacteria in water using low-cost microfluidic cartridges. The platform delivers portable, single-cell analysis and returns results in less than two hours, addressing limitations of slow culture-based Legionella tests. The company has achieved its first accreditation in the USA and product validations in the EU and China. rqmicro is preparing an upcoming launch of a new instrument series to drive broader adoption in water microbiology. Management says the technology enables routine, quantitative bacteria analysis to improve water safety and generate sector value. The company has previously been recognized as a Venture Leader China (2015) and featured among the TOP 100 Swiss Startups (2014–2017).
