rSmart provides education technology solutions built on the community-developed open-source Sakai and Kuali platforms. The company leverages a community development model, engaging colleges and universities worldwide to develop and support enterprise software for teaching, learning, research, and administration. rSmart intends to use new capital to grow in three areas: cloud infrastructure expansion, accelerated platform development, and expanded professional services capacity. The company raised $10.75M in a Series B round from ASAHI Net, GSV Advisors and private investors.
