RuckPack produces a caffeine-free single-serving nutritional shot that supplies vitamins, electrolytes and other ingredients intended to support peak mental and physical performance. The company is based in Los Angeles and was founded by Marine combat veteran Major Rob Dyer, a professor of economics at the U.S. Naval Academy, who conceived the idea in Afghanistan in 2008. RuckPack raised $150k in venture funding on Shark Tank. Backers include Kevin O’Leary and Robert Herjavec, who each invested $75k and received a 10% stake. The company intends to use the capital to expand production and extend national distribution.
