The company invented and has patented wireless technology, including adaptive antenna arrays that focus and direct Wi‑Fi transmissions to avoid interference. It holds over 55 patents, serves 12,000 customers, works with 4,000 solution partners, and employs over 450 staff in 22 countries. Led by president and CEO Selina Lo, Ruckus sells to mobile operators and enterprise customers worldwide. The company intends to use the new capital to expand into the carrier mobile Internet infrastructure market and to bolster its position in the enterprise wireless LAN market. As part of its growth plans it named industry veterans Richard J. Lynch and Georges Antoun to its board of directors.
