Dusk offers an SDK and platform that lets developers build complex multiplayer games quickly by abstracting networking, latency, and conflict resolution so games can scale to millions of friend groups across continents. Games are built without a backend and run cross-platform on web browsers and within the company’s Android and iOS apps. The company’s beta produced over 50 games ranging from multiplayer mini-golf to real-time 3D racing, created by indie developers using the Dusk SDK. Dusk is now out of beta and is fully available for free on the Play Store and App Store. The company is Y Combinator–backed and was co-founded by Bjarke Felbo and Sanjay Guruprasad. It intends to use the funds to expand operations and its development efforts.
