Runpod started four years ago in a New Jersey basement and has grown largely through word-of-mouth among developer communities. Its current roadmap emphasizes expanding infrastructure and developer tooling to help customers move from experimentation to production without replatforming. Financially, Runpod just completed a $100M Series A led by Summit Partners to fund that expansion.
