Rutland Cycling is a Midlands, UK-based family cycling business that sells and hires premium cycling products through four physical stores and its website. Led by Paul Archer and David Middlemiss, it is a preferred retailer for UK brands Giant, Trek and Specialized. The business currently turns over approximately £10m each year. It received £2.8m in equity funding from Business Growth Fund, which joined the company's board. BGF introduced Keith Pacey and Keith Fleming, who joined as non-executive Chairman and non-executive Director respectively. The company plans to use the proceeds to refurbish and extend its existing store estate, pursue national expansion with four new outlets over the next four years in prominent UK leisure and tourist destinations, and develop its e-commerce capabilities including its website.
