Overview
S3V Vascular Technologies develops and manufactures neurovascular and cardiovascular device kits. The company was founded in 2011 at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and opened its first R&D facility in Mysuru in 2013. At its current facility it can manufacture 600–1,000 kits per month; the planned new manufacturing plant is expected to boost capacity to about 50,000–60,000 kits. Management says proceeds will be used to build the Mysuru manufacturing facility, fund marketing initiatives, and seek US FDA approvals for the plant. The firm previously raised about Rs 40 crore in a Series A from members of JITO with assistance from the Technology Development Board. Industry forecasts cited in the article project a large addressable market in India, with the medical devices market expected to reach $50 billion by 2025 and significant growth in neuro and cardiovascular procedures by 2030.
