SafeStack Academy operates a community-centric online education platform that combines qualifications, hands-on labs and an interactive community to support the software development lifecycle. The Academy was launched in July 2020 and emerged from boutique cybersecurity provider SafeStack, which was founded in 2014 in Auckland. The company says its team now stretches across New Zealand and Australia. In its first 12 months the platform has reached over 60 organisations and has achieved no less than half a million dollars in annual recurring revenue. Management plans to use the new funding to expand the team and accelerate international growth. The platform focuses on cybersecurity and privacy education for software development teams.
