KeraCel is an industrial technology company led by CEO Robert Bagheri that has developed a multi-material, multi-method 3D printing platform intended for high-volume production. Its additive manufacturing (AM) platform targets complex active devices including solid-state batteries, micro-fluidic devices, and sensors. The platform combines three core competencies: advanced materials, additive manufacturing methods, and unique product design. KeraCel positions the technology to reduce manufacturing complexity, simplify supply chains, increase production volumes, and significantly lower overall manufacturing costs. The company plans to use new funding to grow its engineering and product teams, complete its proof-of-concept AM platform, and finish development of strategic partners’ applications that will use the platform as a manufacturing base. Financially, KeraCel closed a $14M Series A in January 2021.
