SalesVu offers a mobile payments application and SaaS platform that pairs an iPhone/iPad dongle with cloud-based order management and real-time reporting for distributed sales teams. The dongle connects via the device’s main port and includes hardware encryption; the company’s mobile apps can also operate as standalone order-processing and business-management tools. SalesVu charges a flat 2.7% transaction fee for all transactions and provides the first dongle free while charging $99 for each additional device. The platform provides centralized price management, reporting and marketing features, including real-time sales trends by product, time of day and employee, and the ability to push discounts to Facebook. The company became publicly available on August 18 and reported around 1,000 customers worldwide. Credit-card processing through the dongle is available in the U.S. and Canada only.
